Ahhhhgust

Ahh! What a day!
If you wake up, and the sky is blue and cloudless, how can you stay away from the beach?

That's what I thought, as I ate my eggs and waffles this morning (thanks, honey!) and debated about going out today.

Most of the days we have left in this month are open, which is nice, although weekends are looking busy!
In the first pic, Trenton shows off his big-boy underwear. We have been very successful with potty training when it comes to #2; I can count on one hand the number of poopy diapers we've had in the past two weeks or so. Every now and then he'll tell us he has to go pee-pee, and sometimes he makes it to the potty in time.

Today in Avon the weather was great. I realized I haven't had the chance to really get some great close-ups of him on the beach. He spent a lot of time with two other kids who were successfully plucking hermit crabs out of the water. We took one back with us to our bucket, but the darn thing refused to go back in the shell. T threw both into the water and, not five minutes later, a seagull came over and ate the thing up. Thus continues the life-cycle...

I accidentally shrunk his beach hat (!) and went back to the same shop to get another... of course they were out of my favorite one. The new one is bigger, but doesn't have the rope and ball... so it falls off a bit. But he was good about catching it and putting it back on.

New baby is kicking like mad and wiggling like a sillyboy now. Glad to feel lots of it during the day, as we were afraid he was only active at night. I told Jim that 9-midnight is going to be HIS shift, if the little one comes out sticking to that habit of being REALLY feisty once Trenton goes to sleep. Maybe I just notice it more? I don't know... I think #2 knows that he can have full attention and full use of my belly without anyone squishing it when he hasn't heard T's voice for awhile ;)

Oh Libby is the exact opposite! She will go tinkle on the potty... but no poopy. She's only done that once. In time.

Oh I hope you are getting some rest! I know it's hard when you have a toddler to chase... but the time now!

Dude, Jim looks very sophisticated with his facial hair. And he does look so much like his dad!
Trenton is so big! It's been ages since I saw him.
