Indoor Play with Brayden

These pics are a little old, but so cute! The other week we had a MOMS meetup at a local indoor play place. Jennifer, Paige, and Brayden stopped by for some fun, too! Brayden is getting so big and really enjoyed playing on the toys and with Trenton.

Below, the BOYS just loved this cottage!

Woo Hoo!

Mad props to Heather and Tyler on the birth of their new son, Oliver. Too cute! You may remember we stayed with them during our recent trip to IL. Jack now has an adorable brother to play with. You go Momma!

What to Do with the Kids on a Cold Day...

So we went to the Manasquan Environmental Center with the kids again. Each time we go, Trenton is more aware of all the exhibits. Above, he is letting you know there is an owl sound in the room behind him. Below, Marcus points out the owl.

The live exhibits include fish, turtles, and snakes. Perfect place for boys, right?

Even E.B. got to have some fun.

They're crawling on animal tracks that are in the pavement. Cool...

Thanksgiving 2007

This Thanksgiving we had a great time with the Lacinas and the Bluesteens. Shairna, Chris and the kids came up from Wednesday to Saturday, upon my insistence, seeing as they ate HOT DOGS for Thanksgiving dinner last year ;)
My mom did a fantastic job cooking for 27 people. Dad and Lenny helped set up the house, and then conveniently got outta the way! Shairna, Jim and I cooked some sausage stuffing from scratch, along with muffins, pies, and green beans.
Loads of leftovers and a visit from Jason and Mom and Dad K on Saturday. It is so weird to have a quiet house now!

My Smart Boy

This kid amazes me every day... Yesterday, he was having graham crackers after dinner (a treat!) and asked for cookies! I said, "How do you ask nicely?" and after giving it some thought, he responded with "I have more letter cookies please?" What a sentence!
He is also getting to be very patriotic. Jim has taught him "O Beautiful" and he insists on having me sing it before he goes to bed.

Random Shots From This Week

This week and last have been very busy around here. I had one project due for class and another one that I must start immediately... and Jim worked late almost every day this week. So we've been keeping busy, but without a lot of time to blog. Sorry to all you faithful viewers out there!
I've set up an account on Google Analytics so that I can track the traffic on this site. It tells me how long you've visited, what sites you see, and how frequent of a viewer you are (nothing too personal). I think it's kinda cool... maybe I'll get more hits after these postings tonight!Above, Trenton and Harrison sit in Barnes and Noble, wondering where the train set has gone (they put it away for the holiday season). Needless to say, storytime at B&N is just not the same without this distraction. Harrison's new brother (Jonathan?) is due on New Years Day. Mommy Laura looks great (absolutely glowing!) and seems eager to have another adorable son.

He has this obsession with shoes, as has been documented here before.

No idea what he is grabbing for here. He has started to throw things and want to hit when he is angry. Threw a puzzle right at my head tonight when I was watching TV instead of playing with him. I think he really understood it this time that he hurt me, as he immediately said, "Sorry Mommy. Kiss it?"

Our First Visit With the Livingston Twins

Thursday night we went over to the Livingston's house for a playdate and dinner. And to see the new twins! Both of them are just darling-- Kendall (in daddy Rodney's arms) and Connor (in mommy Nicole's arms). Gabriel is a very affectionate older brother. Trenton just kept saying "Babies!" and tried (unsuccessfully) to crawl into my lap a few times when I was holding one. They are so tiny!

Gabe sporting his Big Brother shirt.

Above, Kendall was born first. You go girl! Connor, below was a bit shocked by the flash in this picture ;) He had some health complications just after birth, and can still use your prayers. We love you, buddy!

Think they wanted to leave? No! Just a game we call "Climbing on everything!" Trenton had an awesome time being around Gabe and I really enjoyed the adult conversation. We hope to see you guys again real soon!

Dancing or Running in Place?

You decide!

So THIS is what they do on Tuesday nights when I am at class...

Yuck. That CANNOT taste good.

Kim and Bob's Wedding

What a marvelous day for a wedding! With an outdoor ceremony, breathtaking colors and fashion, and the BEST food we've ever eaten at a wedding, this one had it all.

Kim looked absolutely stunning. The entire wedding was enjoyable and beautiful.

Above is the TCNJ alumni pic, with Lisa, Kim, Me, Dave, Kim, Chris, Pete, Liz, and Ali. And we danced like crazy!

The two lovebirds are off to Panama.
¡Tenga un rato de la diversión, usted los amantes!

Yogurt Man... Yogurt Man!

He HAD to do this himself, of course. Dessert!

Only Because I'm Starting to Think About Christmas...

If you haven't already read stuff written by Ben Stein, this is a good place to start. Jim and I used to love watching him during the CBS Sunday Morning show (don't do so as much now, with T and church during that time).
If you're getting into the holiday spirit, make sure you purposefully remember the Spirit!
