To avoid any more cat problems, we decided to put down rock in the front of the house. The soil is just so sandy... and the pachysandras didn't spread as well as we had hoped. So before Jim left for his conference in San Diego, we headed out to Lowes. It helps when they give you one of those project starter gift cards! So did Mom and Dad Konopack for Easter... so, all in all, we bought five nice creeper plants (supposed to do well in the shade) and five bags of rocks. I liked the red rock idea, as it blends well with the brick on the house and the soil itself. Looks great contrasting the green and pastel colors of spring. Let's hope this does the trick and cats stay away!

Hop looks happy. He's been a bit neglected lately. T isn't as into him as he was last year :(
