Saturday was Howell's Egg Hunt. Open to the public, it drew a HUGE crowd despite the nasty, cold morning weather. I was sooo thankful to have gotten there early. We were part of the second group to go. They had it more organized this year- only letting 20 kids into a pen at a time. And they lined the ground with hay-- nice, as it was muddy. He got a kick out of the fact that I let him wear snow boots. When we got home, I found a tick crawling up his arm. Eww!
I got a tattoo! He insisted on giving one to Mommy (a leopard), one to Daddy (a rose), and have one for himself (an Easter Egg). What a nice sharing buddy!
There was the petting zoo, again... free food. Below, he pours the food and ditches the cup in the pen. HA!
I skeedaddled outta there soon after our turn at the hunt. There were at least a hundred other families waiting on line with their toddlers (older kids were in another section) and it was getting crazy. It was cold, and he's getting a runny nose... so we actually missed the Easter Bunny. I'm upset. We'll try to go to another hunt next weekend, and hopefully get a picture then. He tells us now "Easter Bunny is coming" and we say "Yes, next week". I think he'll be kinda disappointed to learn that the EB isn't going to show up, ring the doorbell, deliver a basket, and stay for breakfast.
