I wanted to take a moment to honor my friend, Amber on this page. I met Amber while living in Illinois last year. She and I participated in the same pre-natal aerobics swim class. I was pregnant with Trenton, and she was due a bit later with her son, Nathan.
During the few short months I knew her, Amber was diagnosed with cancer. We spoke about the scariness of the situation and the fight that would lie ahead. Although we didn't see each other much outside of class, Amber was on my mind.
Amber passed away this week and leaves behind three children and a loving husband. This website was created by her and now serves as a virtual record of her life, fight, and the impression she made on so many people.

We pray for her and her family.
Goodbye, Amber.

Hi Sheryl,
I just read about Amber.
It's so odd because I happened to be home because Maya has pink eye and can't go to the day care. Then I read your blog as I had a little bit of time. I saw her address in my book on Sunday when I was cleaning and thought about her yesterday at the Pediatrician's office when I saw a couple of coupons for formula (reminded me that I used to mail them to her).
I just went to her diary and read a little bit about how she left for heaven.
When Maya was three days old, I saw her on the elevator at Carle looking very down and I did not know why.
She wasn't close friend for me but certainly she touched my soul.
It's very sad.
Are you sending a message or something?
Mina
oh how sad! I was thinking about her just a few days ago, and wondering how she was doing. Thank you for informing me. I will certainly be praying for her family. The holiday thing sounds like a great idea...just let me know what I can do. -rach
