New Kitchen Appliances!

So this is what we decided to do with our tax return this year... The dishwasher and fridge were soooo ready to kick it. I think they were here when the house was originally built (20+years ago) and they desperately needed to be replaced. Each time we ran the dishwasher, we had to stop it mid-run and open the soap dispenser by hand. And the refrigerator required you to kick it to keep it closed properly! So after doing some comparison shopping at Best Buy and Home Depot, we decided on two models that would suit us best. We don't plan to be in this place for too much longer and didn't want to get anything too nice, but at the same time, we were excited for the new-ness factor!

Trenton got a huge kick out of watching the guys install and remove the appliances. He was pointing out what tools they had ("Drill bit. Screwdriver.") and cracking the guys up.

Although Jim would be happiest if nothing were on the fridge, I cannot keep it that pristine. Sorry, pops. But I did reduce the number of magnets and take off some hanging coupons (expired last year!) so that freed up some space.

And how do we like them? Well, the fridge is LOUD. I swear it sounds like the microwave is going whenever the motor runs to cool it down. And the dishwasher has front buttons for operation and no child lock... so we have to keep little hands away from it. But one keeps stuff cold and the other gets 'em clean. Can't complain for the price! We're happy overall!
