Eclipse last night. Jim went out and took these photos.

The redness near the peak eclipse was caused by the fact that the sun's light creeps around the Earth in the atmosphere, so the moon never gets darkened out. The redness itself comes from the fact that our atmosphere filters out shorter wavelengths (on the blue end - hence why we see a blue sky), allowing the reds to pass through and land on the moon.

Above, my reaction to being asked to join him. Come on, it was like, 20 degrees! And America's Next Top Model was on!

T and Daddy goofin' around.
