Jim, Jay, Joe, and Chris worked out a plan to camp overnight at Hawksbill Mountain in Virginia. So we packed up the fam and traveled down 95 to stay with the Bluesteens for a bit. The kids had a blast hanging out, playing with new Christmas toys, and going to Chuck E. Cheeses with the guys.
Ethan is getting so big! But this coat still swallows him whole. It is great to see him running around with the big kids. He even goes on the potty now!
We gave Jared a frog dissection kit for Christmas. After they created it once, we had the brilliant idea to re-do it with Jello!
We brought it over to the Curtis's house to, err, enjoy for dessert. Trenton had Jello in a cup, as I was afraid that he'd swallow the plastic pieces!
When New Years Eve was finally here, Cathy and Zak came down from D.C. to celebrate with us.
We decided to stage a mock New Year's Eve celebration for the kids before they had to go to bed. Thank goodness for YouTube! We found a clip of the ball dropping from last year and played that on the computer. Equipped with hats, streamers, and noisemakers, we all counted down to 2008!
Ethan is thinking, "What the heck is going on?"
Cathy enjoys a glass of bubbly as the streamers come her way... ready for kids yet???
