Jim stayed home from work today! Trenton can't get enough of his Daddy... constantly wanting him to jump and run and read and talk with him. We went to Lowe's this morning to buy our tree. It is perfect! Balsam Fir, short and thin. Just what will fit behind our couch. We also bought a snow shovel, which Trenton had fun trying out at the store.
It took him awhile to get the hang of putting the hook on the tree. He had more fun playing with the ornaments. We had three "Baby's First Christmas" ones to put on. At Target, we bought new LED lights. They look a little different on the tree, as they give off a true white light.
Done!
Our friends are coming over tonight, so I decided to make a chocolate pudding pie for dessert. Just like my mom did when I was a kid, I encouraged Trenton to eat the pudding off of the spoon when it cooled. After his first taste, he said, "What's it called?" and I said, "Chocolate pudding." His reply? "I like it."
