How cute are these!?!? Shairna and I decided to give cloth diapers a try for a bit. She found this fantastic site, Jillian's Drawers, where for only $10, you can try out a half dozen of the leading brands and types of cloth diapers. They are so cool! We've got some Bum Genius ones, a Fuzzi Bunz, a Kissaluv, and a Happy Heiny's. (I cannot stand the apostrophe in that one!) So far, they've been catching the messes well. We've had only one time where he's leaked. The diaper he is modeling here is the Bum Genius One Size. You are supposed to be able to use it from birth on up.
I have been VERY happy with the way they feel, clean up, adjust, and look. I'm really excited to be cutting down on the number of disposable diapers we use each day. Also, it may save us $ in the long run (although they ain't cheap, and you have to do lots of laundry!). So, we get to try them out for three weeks, then send them back. Who knows! Maybe we'll make the switch, even for part time.

Oh good luck with it! That sounds like a great intro to cloth diapering. We just bought some fuzzi buns way back when. We used them a ton, but Libby couldn't use them full time or she'd get a diaper rash... another mom told me she had that same problem with them and her daughter... maybe it's a girl thing???
