On Saturday, the weather was beautiful. And what trip to New Jersey would be complete without a visit to the shore? I don't even think Jared or Marcus has ever been to the beach before! So we bundled them all up, packed a lunch, and drove out to Point Pleasant Beach.
Shairna kept Ethan in a sling the whole time, underneath Jim's big black coat. She has a shoulder made of steel! Ethan was happy, though. I kept calling her "Man in Black", though, as the shades and coat totally fit the bill.
One of the highlights for the kids was feeding the seagulls. I ran out onto the sand and attracted a lone seagull with a piece of bread. Next thing we knew, there were a few dozen! We all watched as they caught the bits of bread in the air. No one was happy when the bread ran out.
